  • We are going to try a new blog for a while - it just seems like hardly anyone uses Xanga anymore! We're putting some restrictions on it, so if you'd like to be able to get to it, please give us your email address!

  • We're back from a great (and quick) visit to Missouri, and we are slowly going through restaurant detox! (There are too many great restaurants that we had to go out!) We had a great time with our family, and we got to see nearly all of our parents and siblings! Here are a few highlights from the trip home.

With the "grandkids" at the BBQ at my parents' house.

On Saturday, we ran a 5K with Jax and Sue!

My parents made us signs (but Mom forget them in the car, so we got them after the race!)

Then we headed to Jefferson City to visit Matt's mom!

On Sunday, we headed up to Kirksville to enjoy some Pagliai's and walk around a bit.

Il Spazio has stopped brewing their own beer, but they gave Matt one of the old growlers! What a great souvenir!

I was happy (albeit a little surprised) to see that Washington Street Java Co. is still open!

I took a lot of pictures around campus, too, but I won't bore you with those!

On Monday, we hung out in Jeff City a bit more and then headed back to St. Louis.

On Tuesday, we met Kent for lunch at Fitz's! He had coupons for free floats - I wish I had taken a picture of those! They were HUGE! (Think huge glass of root beer with FOUR scoops of ice cream on top... yes, on top!)

I also tried on my wedding dress that night... and it still fits!! Yes!!

It was a great trip home! Thanks to all of our family for being such great hosts to us! We love you!

  • p.s. We ran the Miles for Moffitt (Cancer Center) 5K on May 10th, and we did it in about 37 minutes! Not terrific, but also acceptable. We'll keep working and hopefully get a better time for our next one, which is in a couple weeks in St. Louis!
